Perfect location, everything you needed within the apartment, clean, modern with comfortable beds

Modern large apartment

No parking. We paid £84 to park in Coppergate for our stay.

All mod cons in historic, secure setting. Loved the layout and bedding was extremely comfortable. Balcony view over river an absolute bonus! Location is excellent with easy access to good grocery stores such as M&S which meant we actually used the kitchen. Easy uber access to our son’s graduation . Few minutes walk to the Shambles and another five on to the Minster. Perfect if you don’t want to use a car. Excellent management team also!

Clean, spacious, well located

I was cold. I complained that the underfloor heating wasn’t coming on. A maintenance guy came but it made no difference. I couldn’t perceive any heat coming from anywhere so I was cold in the morning and at night. Also didn’t appreciate all of the ‘don’t touch this’ signs.

Absolutely loved the place and would stay again if coming to York! An entire cozy apartment and it was so close to everything. It was too chilly to use the balcony but it was so cute!

WiFi wasn’t working at first but they fixed it within few hours

The property is just lovely. It was clean, the kitchen is very well equipped. The Lounge/dining area is so full of light with the huge window and doors into a small balcony area. The balcony is the Jewell in this property- overlooking the stunning Merchants Hall and gardens. We were greeted each morning by the resident Canada geese and swans patiently waiting on the river that flows under the wee balcony for their breakfast. The location is brilliant- everything is within walking distance and there is a metro supermarket just to the side of the apartment building. The double glazing does a great job of dulling traffic noise, but this is very light after rush hour. Students tend to operate at a much higher frequency so can’t guarantee you won’t hear them out having fun at the weekend, but it’s a happy noise so all good. Absolutely the best stay we’ve had in York over the past few years we have been visiting and will definitely be booking this again in future. It’s such a brilliant place that we all agreed we would book the next trip around its availability. I should also mention that city lets who run the property have been amazing. Our trip in January was cancelled day before we were due to travel as all trains out of Scotland were cancelled due to the storms - we could have just lost our money but City Lets squeezed us into a rare few days’ availability in June. They didn’t have to do that and we are so grateful they did.

Absolutely nothing. We found the internal temp a little high and couldn’t figure out the thermostat, but we just sat on the balcony instead :-)

The apartment was in the perfect location. I stayed here for 2 nights with my 81 yr old Mother as a treat for her birthday. Due to the location, she didn't have to walk far to amenities. We had a beautiful view of from the balcony, we were situated right on the river, Fosse. Few minutes to the Shambles and shopping centre. Apartment was spotless, plenty of complimentary coffee & Tea. Felt very safe, as building was unaccessible without your Fob Key. Absolutely recommended. Thank you.

Location excellent and facilities generally good

Interior bathroom with no natural light. Extraction in this room poor - it got steamed up easily. Marks on wall and could do with bathroom rug as floor constantly seemed to have drips on it as towel rail other side of room to sink.

It had everything lovely view from balcony, clean comfortable beds really comfy, very central short walk to everything. Lovely pub just opposite. I went with my sisters for her birthday. Best place I’ve stayed in York. Will be booking again.
