Property Notes

The lodge is approximately 45 minutes to an hour from the Malelane gate and therefore it is recommended that flights to / from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (KMIA/MQP) are booked to arrive before 2:30 pm on day of arrival and depart after 10 am on day of departure. The camp is half way between Skukuza and Malelane gates, approximately 22 miles in both directions with only 2 miles of dirt road. Due to the rules and regulations of the Kruger National Park, nobody is allowed on any Kruger National Park roads during the period of gates being closed. Therefore guests must be at their destination by the time the gates close. Jock is located in a malaria area, but incidents are very low. However, guests should still take precautions.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Managed by a private host A deposit may be required at the property.

Our stay at Jocks was the most magical experience in every way. Our ranger Jan was an incredible guide on the safari game drives, and we ended up seeing all big 5. Every meal at Jocks was delicious and an experience of its own. The staff was very delightful. Last but not least, the lodge itself was beautiful, with a massive outdoor space and day bed. I highly recommend Jocks!

"Super Excellent! Amazing experience beyond our expectations."

The lodge was super great with facility more than everything we needed, with private pools and bath tub and also day bed outside to see the view. Great location in the middle of Kruger NP. We could see elephant walking in the dry riverbed from our room. The food and drinks were excellent, good quality and great taste. Game drive was super cool and super. Our ranger was very professional, and experienced that we could track to see more animals outside the main roads. All staffs are helpful with great hospitality. It is expensive, yes, but it is worth the money for sure.
