A Magical Cave Experience – The Ultimate Honeymoon Highlight! 🌟🇮🇹 If you want a true, authentic Matera experience, this is the place. Staying inside this historic cave felt like stepping into another world where you can truly feel the traces of centuries. The atmosphere inside is unlike anything else; the subtle, warm lighting reflecting off the ancient rock walls creates a deeply mystical and cozy ambiance that completely sweeps you away. The inside is a universe of its own, but the moment you open the door, the breathtaking view of Matera is right in front of you. In fact, people were constantly gathering near our doorstep just to take photos of the view, and having that right outside our door was incredible. My wife and I sat on the two chairs outside, enjoying an Amaro under the stars—it was the most unforgettable moment of our entire honeymoon. It was worth every single penny for this atmosphere alone. The attention to detail inside was amazing; the host had thought of everything, leaving a fully stocked place that even included Nutella! Speaking of the host, they were incredibly helpful, warm, and went completely above and beyond for us. This place gave us memories that will last a lifetime. If you are visiting Matera, do yourself a favor and stay here. Highest possible recommendation!

The location was amazing, most beautiful view of Matera. I have included a photo of the view from our room. The shower was so cool, the lights were a nice touch.

We couldn’t figure out how to turn on the coloured lights in the bedroom. Perhaps a short explanation of the facilities would be helpful for future :)

Ubicación perfecta, con magníficas vistas a la ciudad vieja desde la misma puerta. Orientación sur, con sol desde muy temprano, y con unos cuantos restaurantes muy cerquita

Para llegar a pie desde el parking, el GPS te manda por calles estrechas con escaleras que suben y bajan. Si llevas maletas con ruedas es mejor coger la calle d'Addozio desde el principio, que es ancha y está mejor pavimentada, o coger el autobús, que te deja muy cerca.
