Air con didn’t work properly. Furniture functional but uncomfortable after a long day of walking around.

Everything about it!

It was not an issue but luggage would be difficult to wheel to the accommodation. Set yourself up with an overnight bag…easy.

Great location, with a stunning view of the old town. Situated perfectly for easy access to all Matera has to offer. Apartment was clean, tidy and great value for money.

Only downside was we arrived by car and directions on parking were unclear.

Beautiful apartment in a great location with a romantic, relaxing atmosphere. We loved the traditional cave elements combined with modern features of decor. Shower with colourful lights was amazing! Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Bathroom was spacious and very clean. It was lovely to spend a night in this incredible place. Matera is a truly unique town with interesting history and it was wonderful to experience it... It was a little bit cold during our stay in Matera but the heating in the apartment was working perfectly fine! In this apartment you could touch Matera's history and imagine how people used to live in this town years ago. Philippo, the owner, was very nice and helpful! He reserved a parking place for us on the street, just 3 mins walking from the apartment. He also told us about history of Matera. We would love to come back to Suite San Placido!
