Ella Family House

Zimmer sind gut aufgeteilt und sauber. Das Beste am Hotel ist der Service. Unsere Gastgeberin war super nett und hat jeden Wunsch erfüllt (Tuk Tuk Fahrer, anständige Van-Fahrer und perfekt hergerichtetes Frühstück mit Früchten aus dem eigenen Garten). Wir konnten jederzeit auf WhatsApp schreiben was wir möchten und die Gastgeberin hat es organisiert. Zudem spricht sie sehr gut Englisch, somit konnten wir uns beim Frühstück Tipps für Unternehmungen in Ella holen.

Everything was lovely

The place is wonderful and spacious! The family is lovely and helpful and the breakfast and dinner is delicious, one of the best we had in Sri Lanka!

- noisy main road in close proximity, earplugs recommended if sensible to noise

Tolle Aussicht mit Blick auf die Berge und den Mahamevnawa Buddhist Tempel, abseits des trubeligen Gewusels. Das Frühstück ist absolut fantastisch. Wir konnten gar nicht genug davon bekommen. Shalinka war eine ganz wundervolle, herzliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Und Ihr Abendessen sollte man während des Aufenthalts nicht verpassen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und würde jederzeit und gerne wiederkommen.

Tolle Unterkunft, tolle Familie, alles so herzlich & nett. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Großes Apartment. Frühstück hervorragend. Wir konnten sehr gut schlafen. Leider nur zwei Tage gebucht.

The access road

After we had to cancel our other stay in Ella due to shifting plans we found Ella Family House at the last moment, and we were very happy we did! We had the family room and this worked very well for us (family of 4 with kids aged 4 and 6) The beds were good, the curtains made it fairly dark (which is way better than the average in Sri Lanka) and we had everything we needed. The food was amazing and the host made sure we got everything we wanted, as well as giving great tips. Our only doubt was that booking said there was no airconditioning, but there actually was! The view is amazing as well and the garden and common area are a great place to relax. It is close to Ella (5 min by car) but not in the busy center. We didn’t have any problems with the sound of the nearby road as some other reviews mentioned.

Fijne, ruime kamer en badkamer. Eigenaren zijn heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Heerlijk Sri Lankaans gegeten en een kookworkshop gevolgd. Wij zouden hier zeker nog een keer terugkomen.
