Ella Family House

Very nice host who made us feel at home immediately. Great breakfast, large rooms, super view on the monastery. Outside the noice of Ella but easy to get there by tuktuk in 10 minutes. Recommended!!

A beautiful place just minutes from central Ella with stunning views and all the facilities our family needed. Shalika and her husband were incredibly kind and helpful, they went above and beyond. Breakfast was generous with a selection of Sri Lankan specialities, fresh fruit, tea and coffee, and the home-cooked traditional dinner with vegetables from her garden was one of the best we had on our whole trip. They also arranged all our transport for our stay and even gave us a free ride to the train station. Can’t wait to come back!

Close to Ella and a great view up to the temple. We had a warm welcome and enjoyed our stay with Shalika and her lovely family. I recommend tasting cinnamon leaves in the garden.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The host was very friendly and helpful—in fact, she welcomed me even before we arrived. We came by train, and she kindly offered us transportation from the station, which was very thoughtful of her. I wouldn’t mind coming back again.

Das Personal war überragend, es wurde nicht nur für den Transfer in die Stadt gesorgt, sondern uns wurden auch ungefragt frische Kokosnüsse zum trinken geöffnet, generell waren das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und das Frühstück super! Der Ausblick der Unterkunft wunderschön mit schönen Blick auf Tal und die Berge.

Es gab leider keine Klimaanlage und leider ist am letzten Tag einer von zwei Ventilatoren ausgefallen. Außerdem hatte das Zimmer ein bisschen wenig Stauraum, was ein wenig zu Chaos geführt hat, da wir zu fünft waren.
