What a beautiful old house and grounds. Our room (a twin) was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were fantastic and did everything they could to make our stay special.

Breakfast could be included in the price or at least an option for a smaller breakfast. £15 if you only want coffee and cereal is rather expensive.

Pleasant staff

I have never lay on a more uncomfortable mattress, didn't get any sleep, and there was a fan outside the window which switched on and off all night, only for disturbing the other guest we would have got up and left in the early hours to get some decent sleep at home. However we did have a problem with the TV which a very pleasant man came very quickly and fixed it and also brought us a fan as the room was so hot.

Overall ambience was of relaxation and comfort supported by excellent and well priced meals.

Beautiful arts and crafts mansion with stunning grounds. All the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. We were on a bike tour and the staff took our bikes into storage for us and got them for us in the morning! We ate our evening meal there and the food was delicious.

Property was impressive, picuresqe, well maintained outside, clean and tidy inside, with lovely period features.

Friendlyness of the whole staff

Breakfast before 9, supper before 7h30, checkout at 10…. No cheese at breakfast
