This lovely accommodation stands out as the finest we've experienced, during our month-long journey through Sri Lanka. It's not just about the cozy rooms; the warm hospitality of our hosts has truly made a difference. These remarkable hosts anticipated our every need, and their breakfast, enriched with local flavors, is simply amazing.

Perfect location! Very spacious and clean room with great wifi. Host and staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us with anything we needed. Breakfast was delicious!

Wonderful stay. We stayed one night in sunbird's home. The whole place is very green and relaxing. The room is very comfortable. Hot water with power shower, fast WiFi, fantastic AC.The hosts are wonderful Friendly and will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We really enjoyed our stay there

Clean and cozy rooms. The owners are very welcoming and super friendly. Speak good English. They helped us in every possible way to make our stay a great one. Breakfast was lovely. We also had beautiful and super delicious Sri Lankan rice and curries for dinner. They also organized us a safari tour. Safari driver also speaks good English and has a great knowledge about the national park. We get to experience a personalised fabulous safari tour. Everything about the guest house is wonderful.

We had great hosts (Upul and Ranshika) here, and with their gift of gab, it didn't take long to check in and grab the wonderful adventures on the safari tour, and the food was delightful, especially the koththu dish, which is a must try. I appreciate Sunbird adding the accessories that were required, especially the ceiling-mounted bed round mosquito net. They have provided everything that means most to you, and the minimalist feel will make you feel relaxed and ready to wind down. The room was spotless and cozy. I'm touched by their generosity and feel overwhelmed by their hospitality. Thanks for extending a welcome and offering a home away from home. Keep calm and get there safe and sound.

I didn't like to spend just one day here because the stay is picturesque and my schedule was tight to relax over here, and yes, you can't do everything in one day; please plan a 4-day trip at least.

Breakfast was so reasonable for price, so authentic and super clean. Particularly, food was so healthy as there was no junk.

Best place to stay in Udawalawe. New private bungalows with modern amenities including great WiFi, Comfy beds, great AC, and unbelievable hospitality. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I'm in Udawalawe. Highly recommended 🙂🙂
