Elephant Rock Private Safari Lodge

Beautiful boutique lodge accommodating less than 15 guests at any one time. The perfect place to go for quiet and relaxation in the bush. Everything is clean, well presented and we were treated as special guests.

Absolutely superb, the location was great overlooking a waterhole. Very tastefully decorated. Loved that it is a small lodge with max of 10 guests. The rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable with lovely decks with comfortable chairs. The staff were all efficient and friendly. The food was very good. We were fortunate to have wonderful weather so breakfast and lunch were catered for outside on the main deck. The pool area was gorgeous, pool towels and even sun lotion was available. Everywhere was well looked after, neat and quiet. Of course the main reason for visiting was for the game and this didn’t disappoint. We had Stephanie as a guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable, interesting and a lovely sense of humour. The game drives were twice a day and the reserve is so diverse in vegetation so always changing. Lovely sightings and even when the game was hiding Stephanie always found something interesting to show us. Coffee stop in the morning and a sundowner stop on the afternoon drive. Very casual, relaxed and informal atmosphere. Definitely will return. Thank you to Steve, Stephanie, Rene and all the staff for a memorable couple of days.

Wonderful staff, personal attention and excellent game viewing

It’s a small lodge, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious.

Just a suggestion: no water bottles were given during the game drive. You could fill your own. Very happy with that idea. Instead of small shower gel,shampoo bottles that are also plastic , have a big bottle that is attached in the bathroom in the shower etc, bath etc that can be re filled

Lovely setting, nice rooms, friendly staff

Our guide was relatively inexperienced. She tried hard, but it her inexperience showed. Food was acceptable, not wonderfully special. You are requested to choose your next meal from the day’s menu after each meal, and breakfast at 5am before the morning game drive - not ideal, having either just eaten or woken!

the facility was wonderful, very comfortable, food was really good and the game drives were fantastic!

Nothing not to like.

It's definitely a luxury holiday but the price is just very high.
