Gemini Star Hotel Kuta

This would make for a good stay if you are a solo traveller or couple on a budget. You get what you pay for, and so I guess reasonable for the price. ROOM Comfortable beds with a bathroom (separate toilet and shower), balcony, mini fridge, kettle & TV. Not much space but good enough. CLEANLINESS The room was clean when we checked in but we stayed 3 nights and it wasn't cleaned at all, we weren't given fresh towels either and those on offer didn't smell the best. We used our own towels. We had to move the bed to fit our baby cot in and it was clear that whoever did the cleaning clearly hadn't bothered to clean under the bed in decades. POOL Good size CAFE The hotel has a cafe attached to it. Hotel can have breakfast for 25k Indonesian Rupiah. Good deal and you get water, coffee, fruit bowl and then choose between toast, waffle or pancake. No baby chairs though. STAFF Happy to help but English is limited LOCATION Right in the heart of Kuta but with all it's one way streets bit of a pain to get to if using a taxi as the driver will need to go all around the block to get to the hotel, and that can add 15min to your journey. You can hear the nightlife quite easily so if you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. From the local karaoke talent to the live music and even the slingshot ride... you will be immersed in all the lovely night life sounds of Kuta Go if you are on a budget, but shop around!

Really regret staying in Kuta, very dangerous area for ladies... Also facility has no cleaning services, which is really sad. However the staff themselves are cute, when we had a trouble with catcalling case, staff helped us out. However, do not recommend to stay for long, since there is no cleaning services. But good news: There were no lizards, and during Nyepi day they left wifi on
