Blue Maalu Resort

Resort itself, host, staff and good location (close to the city, but at the same time very peaceful) is definitely 10/10. Beautiful sunsets, room cleaning every day, delicious breakfast, very friendly host that does for your stay way more than he should 😊 Host and all other staff puts so much effort in little details to make your stay memorable (like fresh flowers on your patio table every morning). To sum up: perfect place near the sea with wonderful people around. Thanks a lot for everything, Waranga and the rest of your team! ✌️

The stay was too short (if it’s not other booking, we would have stayed longer 😔).

First stay in Sri Lanka and the high standard was set! The host was very kind, he picked up me from the airport at night and provided everything I needed on the arrival (there was problems with internet at night, so he gave me his SIM card to use). The breakfast was very delicious every single morning, and the portions were really big. The room itself was a newly renovated room with king size bed, AC, shower and toilet. He even gave me a upgrade to a bigger room FREE OF CHARGE! Hospitality was on another level, any problem I had was solved within minutes and the owner was always one text away. I highly recommend this for everyone who want a 5 star hotel experience without a 5 star hotel price tag. You will not regret it. Trust me.

Nothing, everything was PERFECT

Our stay at Blue Maalu Resort and was an exceptional experience. The property is incredibly clean and modern, with all new furniture since it was built in July 2024. Its prime location right next to the seaside promenade offers stunning beach views, allowing you to see and hear the waves all night long, which is truly relaxing. The host, Waranga, was always available to help and went above and beyond to fulfill all our wishes. He even provided us with everything we needed to enjoy the fruits we bought on the road.

Place and ppl was so friendly and caring. Helped in every way to comfort us. Very nice and comfortable stay. Very clean and modern rooms. The path from road to hotel bit complicated. But hotel arranged parking and supported keep vehicle safely. For backpackers this place is ideal!
