Three Bedroomed House in Morecambe

Nice and clean comfortable house. the owner Kate has spent a lot of time doing it up and is continuing to do so. Good location and good communication. Also very helpful when we left a couple of things behind by mistake 🙃

Nothing we didn't like .. house was cold when we arrived and we couldn't get the heating on. Then we found and read the booklet Kate had left (did feel a bit daft) we quickly worked out how to put it on 😀... wasn't rocket science either 🤔

The location in Morecambe is near to the front, local attractions and the bus stop to go to Lancaster and further afield. The property was clean and the rooms are big (apart from one bedroom). The kitchen had all appliances and the living room has an extra electric heater and TV.

The property has been renovated to a fairly low standard. A quick coat of paint had been applied to floorboards, some of which were loose, and to amateurly plastered walls. Doors did not all close properly and the front door could not be bolted or double-locked, which isn't great for a sense of security. In the toilet the loo roll holder was broken and in the main bathroom silicone had not been applied all round the bathtub, which risks water dripping down behind the tub. In the two smaller bedrooms and the toilet, the light fittings just had bulbs and no light shades and there was no light bulb on the stairs to the upper floor. Two doors were really creaky and the bathroom door wouldn't close properly. No other property we have ever stayed in has used prepaid gas and electricity. Seeing the amount of credit counting down every time you switch on hot water or the heating is not conducive to a relaxing stay. The hot water did not always work in the bathroom, even when hot water was coming out of the kitchen taps. We had a nice time in Morecambe but will not be renting this property again and cannot recommend it to other holidaymakers. A lot of the problems with the property are minor on their own, but they do add up and create a less than positive impression.

Nice style of house. Facilities were ok. Bed comfy but falling apart. Good heating and hot water. Price was reasonable, but I would say the house needs improvement.

We ended up leaving a day early. We didn't want to shower as there was no blind at the bathroom window. Underneath the sofa and bed were really dirty. Made us feel unclean. There was half eaten food in the fridge, and I had to clean it out. The black bin was outside the living room window and there was rubbish spilling out all over. I definitely would not return.

Don't book this place save yourself money we booked for a week left after two days hot water did not work , blood on the socket, mould paper falling off windows dirty in the utility room , no blind in top bedroom so sun in the morning through the skylight window shines straight on to bed , no blinds in kitchen, damp all and dirt all down the stairs, only one old smoke alarm think this is highly dangerous !!!! Toilet in front of next doors garden with grass coming out off it !!! Garden at the back well what can I say !!! We ended up staying in premier inns for two days at a cost of £400 cut short our children's holiday was meant to be 7 days there would not let a dog live in there got offered £200 compensation what a joke save yourself the hassle and book closer to the main front seen some lovely places after we left for about the same price and far superior than that place 🤬🤬🤬
