The Quays Athlone

The best place we have seen in our vacations in Ireland. It is extremely clean. The views of the river and the castle are fantastic. There are many places to eat at a short walking distance. You can park for free since 6:30 PM at few meters and leave the car overnight. For only €2.40 you don't have to move the car until 10:30 AM next day - something we found very convenient.

Nothing. We only regret not having booked it for more days. We hope all guests will keep it as it is for years to come.

Great location and the host was easy to reach when i did not look at my messages prior to contacting. We were lucky to find parking across from the stay and was free because it was a Sunday, but i would not have known where to park otherwise.

Because we are not familiar with parking, it would have been nice to have a designated spot to park, but we go lucky with one.

The apartment is in an excellent location. It's very clean and comfortable.

The apartment is close to a bar so it was noisy saturday night. Maybe have ear plugs for guests?

The location could not have been better

Could have done with a few more utensils e.g. a sharp knife, decent tongs, and perhaps salt and pepper and some condiments. Also no soap

Just the green light that stays on overnight on roof and the automatic light that comes on when you walk into bathroom/toilet

Had the most amazing stay. We come to Athlone regularly, and normally stay in hotels. Never will book a hotel in Athlone again, only if cant get this apartment. It's absolutely fabulous. The host is unreal. Responds to any questions straight away. Perfect location. We had 3 nights, but wanted more, unfortunately it was booked out. Can't wait to return.

The apartment was spotless. Everything that one needed was supplied. Beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect.

Though I booked a two bedroom apartment. I was led to believe. as it was advertised so But it was a studio apartment. So, there is no privacy. The small green light on the ceiling was very bright at night.
