Beautiful renovated cottage in Mersham Ashford Kent

Bed comfortable. The Royal Oak staff and service A1. Walks around were lovely

The cottage is really adorable and we absolutely loved the wood stove. The beds were comfortable with nice cozy sheets. The kitchen had everything you would need for a stay. The town is quaint and the locals are very friendly.

Some things need a little attention. The dog bed was dirty and the ceiling was exposed in the stairway due to a leak I assume.

Lovely, clean, comfortable and cosy cottage in very pretty location. Hosts really responsive and helpful. Siper comfy beds and really nice soft clean, new bedding.

Only tiny criticism is that the bathroom is so small and narrow. We are fairly slim, and it still felt like a tight fit, a large person would literally not fit in this batbroom.

Very comfortable bedroom and bed. Lovely log burner downstairs and nicely decorated. Clean everywhere. Close to the little shop and pub and not far from the main road. Equipped well for a couple which we were, but maybe a bit tight for 4 adults. A quiet location apart from traffic noise from the road but it didn't disturb us.

A high quality kitchen but let down by a cheap cutlery set. Hot water tap in kitchen ran very slowly and took ages to fill washing up bowl. The owners are due to have some plumbing work done soon which might improve that.

It was lovely, nice clean welcoming cottage. We didn't stay in it much as we were staying for my Daughter's wedding nearby.

The shower leaking through the kitchen ceiling every time someone showered.

This was a lovely little terraced house in a beautiful village. Easy to get into and perfectly clean on arrival. We were sent lots of recommendations in advance for places to eat and the Farriers Arms was fantastic, definitely give it a go. We just stopped for one night on our way through Kent, but it was perfect for that.

It is a terraced house, so there isn't a lot of sound insulation from the neighbours. I'm sure that most of the time it is not a problem, but when I stayed the neighbours on one side were doing some renovations and started very early so was woken by banging. Hopefully by the time you stay, they'll be finished and it won't be an issue.
