Anchor Hotel and Seabed Restaurant

Comfortable cosy room with a wonderful view over the harbour. The staff were welcoming and we enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. They sold proper beer on draught.

Our ferry to islay was cancelled so we booked in. We were a group of seven ( including two small children) and the hotel and staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful! They made sure we had a table for dinner, they even made us breakfast bags to take away as we had an early ferry. The staff were so kind and really went above and beyond for us and I want to give them a 100/10!! The hotel and food was fantastic as well and I had a great sleep. Lovely quiet room overlooking the harbour, it was wonderful and I would come back again for a specific trip next time.

We had a few issues with the room .. no heating, not clean enough, I wiped down the bedside cupboard tops before I could use them! only one double socket for the whole room so if you used the supplementary oil heater and made a cup of tea that was that! Spoke to the manager about some issues and he was very amiable

The room was disappointing, felt I’d drawn the short straw! No comfy chair, and view looked into other people’s homes! Not what I’d expected for the price. The hotel sells the view,

Breakfast staff friendly

Carpets tired and worn, no heating and no towel rail, tiny bathroom and soft bed

Restaurant room plus bedroom was good except the great view spoilt by moss and rubble on a small flat roof.
