Green Bird Villas

We loved it so much this place. Sathis is very friendly makes you feel very special. The villa was very beautiful and very clean. It really made us feel at home. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a private yoga class with Green bird villa and it was truly exceptional. seamlessly weaves together traditional yoga methods with his unique approach, making the class not only physically challenging but also deeply insightful. Appearing healthy throughout the session is encouraging and empowering and allows us to push our limits while respecting our body's capabilities. His attention to detail and commitment to alignment made us feel supported and safe during the training sessions. Overall our private yoga class was a memorable trip and I had a yoga retreat followed by a marma therapy treatment. It was my first experience, but I felt completely safe and at peace. You should get to know him because he is an amazing person. Thank you very much Sathis for making our trip to sri lanka an unforgettable experience.

Highly recommend staying here. The owner Sathis is really lovely and always available to help with anything you might need. The villa is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need for your home away from home. The villa is located quite high up in the hills so the temperature and breeze were a huge relief after the heat and crowds in town but it is easily reached by tuk tuk. You can also walk to Kandy town in about 10-15 minutes just be warned the descent is quite steep in places and includes lots of stairs. Sathis is more than happy to arrange a tuk tuk to take you wherever you want to go if walking doesn't appeal to you. The only thing that could make it more perfect in my opinion would be a washing machine but there does appear to have been provision made for this in the bathroom so perhaps sometime in the future. But again Sathis offered to arrange laundry for us if we need it.

It was lovely to have a home away from home. The apartment is huge & very clean. You are out of town but it is only 350-400rs tuk tuk away. We found a very helpful, kind & honest tuk tuk driver who spoke excellent English called Manoj +94 77 027 4362 should you want a price for any trips, we totally recommend him. The owner Sathis is very helpful & can arrange or make recommendations for anything you should want to do traditional dance show etc. It was lovely seeing the monkeys in the morning whilst having a drink in the balcony.

Green Bird Villa is truly exceptional. The house is new, the apartment is very spacious, bright and sparkling clean. All important utensils are there and work perfectly. You can sit nicely on the terrace and enjoy a wonderful view of the valley. There is usually a pleasantly cool breeze. The landlord is friendly and always there when you need him because he lives in the same building. All in all we felt comfortable here.

The house is located somewhat remote from the city on a mountain, on a very steep slope. You have to be fit and able to walk well to reach the house, otherwise you always have to rely on a taxi or tuktuk. The owner has no influence on this, but: Sometimes disco music or long barking dogs from the neighborhood disturb the otherwise idyllic peace. At the time of our stay there was a construction site right next to the house with corresponding noise. However, this will only be temporary. The landlord is very friendly and attentive but, in our opinion, a little too protective of the guests. We sometimes felt a bit monitored and restricted in our privacy.

The apartment is very big and comfortable. There are two bedrooms with air conditioning and two bathrooms. The view from the balcony is really nice. There's everything necessary in the kitchen: a big fridge, a stove, a kettle, lots of dishes. The host is very welcoming and helpful.

The hotel is situated rather far from the city centre on top of the hill. It is possible to walk uphill if you're in good shape, or get a tuc tuc. The drivers don't know the place though, so you have to show them. The living room has no curtains, that was rather uncomfortable.

This property is 5 star+ It is incredible! Nestled in the hill with spectacular mountain views from the lounge and the bedroom. The apartment is modern, clean and just a joy to be in after a long days walk. It is super peaceful and Sathis the owner is so friendly. He will do anything for you, nothing is too much for him. I think he is one of life's kind humans. Value for money it soooooo is!!!! If you are coming to Kandy stay away from the centre and stay here in the hills. It is only a stroll to the town anyway or tuk tuks are around all the time if you didn't want to walk. This would enhance your experience of being in Kandy. I had the most AMAZING stay here.
