Gaia House Hostel

1. Breakfast was a little simple. 2. The music played at the lobby was a little loud and directly adjacent to some of the rooms. The volume was toned down on request however. Fortunately, there was no music later in the evening and early morning.

Not too far from Plaza De Armas, street full of restaurants and mini markets.

Everything was good.

Pod style beds were really comfy and private. Shower/bathroom was really clean and staff were efficient.

I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Gaia house, they were so friendly and accommodating to everything from storing luggage, making breakfast & organising transport. We had 3 separate stays here, spread over a few weeks, and loved every minute. Our room was so spacious and the bed was so comfy. It was an excellent base to explore Cusco and the surrounding area. I could not recommend Gaia House anymore.

Spacious rooms, comfy bed, friendly / helpful staff, location.

Location is great, room is big, and the price is good.

The staff are not great. When we arrived there was no water and we were told this was 'our problem'. We were initially told to pay when we left but then were chased around by the staff to pay earlier, including at 4am when we were leaving for tours. We had to ask for more toilet paper and were told we were using too much and they didn't wanna give us more. The water doesn't get hot and is not always available, especially during the day. Breakfast is mediocre, just bread and eggs. Please note that the "extra large double bed" is just two twins pushed together, as a couple you actually cannot sleep in the middle because there's a gap. In conclusion, good for a short budget stay but please don't make our mistake and stay here for more than a week.

Location was great, it was clean, and the staff were nice.

Everything. The hostel is cozy, clean, the beds are amazing and there are lots of toilets with hot water. I would honestly suggest it to anyone. The area is beautiful and super safe!
