Dower House Hotel

Rural location although not too far from Lyme. Bus stop is a few minutes walk to take you to the town and beach. Beautiful, character property and very comfortable. Extremely relaxing and the grounds are lovely with use of a swimming pool. A great stay with charming hosts 😊

Didn’t not like but suggestion of dog bowls in room would be useful as the property is dog friendly ( it’s the only hotel we have been to that does not provide this along with other useful doggie provisions, when you pay the dog premiums)

We loved the personal touch that Rosemarie gave us, always knowing everyone's name. Theresa, In the breakfast room, also made us feel so welcome. A great place to stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it

This is a truly exceptional place to stay. It has a lot of character, and is tastefully and thoughtfully decorated throughout, reminding one of the bygone Victorian era. Love how all the rooms are named after historical characters! Rosemarie and Neil were very welcoming, making sure we were very well looked after. We visited’ The ‘Ship Inn’ for dinner ( a short drive to the picturesque Axmouth) on their recommendation and had a lovely meal there.

Spacious room and poshly decorated, fabulous estate with an amazing garden, breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with luxury tableware and of high standard, hosts were helpful and friendly!

Tasty and well presented breakfast. Neil, Rosemary and Teresa were superb hosts - friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Minor maintenance issues were fixed swiftly. The pool is well positioned and very attractive. The view from our room was tremendous.

Beautiful property and room, lovely location, plenty of parking. Very good cooked breakfast.
