Casa Puerto Viejo

Marta and her staff were amazing and so welcoming. The location is great for accessing Play Manzanillo, Angelito or Carazillo and there are plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. The room was clean and the pool was lovely to relax in. We would definitely return again!

It was the perfect balance of privacy and welcoming hospitality. It was great to be able to use the kitchen, and the property and pool were beautiful and spotless. The location was also excellent!

We liked it all!

We stayed here due to the convenient location (a few minutes walk from the bus station where the bus from Oaxaca arrived, and close to where the bus to Mazunte leaves). It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood with a few small places to eat around and also a mini market down the street. The accommodation was spacious (living area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) and also had nice seating outside on the terrace near the swimming pool. The staff / owners very friendly and welcoming. Has airconditioning.

The setup of the bathroom was a bit strange. At the top of the bathroom there is a hole in the wall that connects to the neighbors bathroom. It lets through light and sound. We could literally hear every word our neighbors said, and could hear them doing their business in the bathroom (and vice versa). This made it awkward and honestly at this price point I would expect more privacy.

Initial cleaning missed a few spots, no daily cleaning, room is a little bit used

The property was well located, close to many amazing restaurants which are all rated very high. The place was always kept super clean by the staff, and you could tell they took great pride in doing so. The room was spacious, super comfy bed, with good working A/C and shower. The pool area was lovely and it was often just us there. The sun comes down on the sunbed area all day with the way it’s positioned which is great. Overall, a pleasant stay in an amazing town! We have eaten some of the best food on our 6 months travels so far. The owner was even kind enough to drop us to the bus station on departure.
