Casa Puerto Viejo

Doña Marta and her staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The location is great close to the bus station. A family friendly place in puerto w such privacy in puerto is difficult to come by. The pool and patio is absolutely amazing. The bed and room were very comfortable.

We loved everything about our stay. Marta was a wonderful host and Jose and Jenny ensure the rooms and pool and gardens are meticulous. Secure parking onsite was a huge bonus. A credit to Marta for creating this beautiful little hotel. A true hidden gem.

Honestly could not fault it. We will definitely stay there again.

The room is cozy but very nice size and the bathroom is big with a large comfortable shower. Marta and her team are more than helpful with any questions you have about travel logistics or things to do around. The hotel is located right in the middle of the main beaches and has a few good restaurants within a super short walking distance. You definitely want to book this place for the pool alone, it's essentially a private pool most of the day. Super clean and feels so refreshing after a warm or hot day out. And you can hop in and out of your room with ease. Someone in an earlier post commented about a gap in the wall, and it almost made me change my booking. We didn't see or experience that at all, the room was very private.

The room was a little smaller than the pictures made it seem, but didn't affect our stay at all. It just means they know how to take great photos, the pool deck and beautiful landscaping are exactly like the photos. So calm and relaxing. This also didn't affect our stay much since I brought bug spray (they love to bite me), but there were some mosquitos and smaller bugs inside the room when we arrived. This is more the climate and the area rather than the hotel, but maybe bring a candle or a zapper if you're easily affected by them. Would absolutely stay here again!

lovely casa! nice pool, beautiful flowers, very kind and helpful people who maintain the place and make you feel welcome. They arranged taxi to the airport for us. Highly recommended!

Everything about this property is great!!! Ask to add the continental breakfast. It’s delicious, abundant and affordable. Martha is the best host along with her staff (Jose and Jinny) they will make you feel at home. There’s no doubt I will come back. It’s better than I expected.

The neighbor dogs barking at night. It’s not fault of this property. It’s out of their control.

I didn't believe it was a 9.5. But it is. A beautiful and well maintained. Friendly helpful staff.
