Mansa Musso Lodge

During our trip to The Gambia, we stayed at several hotels, but the Mansa Musso Treehouse Resort stood out as the best. The treehouse's unique location on the property offers absolute peace and tranquility, allowing guests to fully appreciate the natural beauty from its expansive terrace. Every morning, a sumptuous breakfast was freshly prepared and served on the terrace. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous, making us feel as though we were staying with close friends. While the hotel does not have its own restaurant, the nearby “Black & White” restaurant on the beach offers incredibly delicious and reasonably priced meals. The restaurant also provides a free delivery service to the hotel, allowing guests to dine in the comfort of their own terrace. The nearest town, Sanyang, is easily accessible by local bus for just a few cents. We highly recommend this hotel, particularly for nature lovers, as it is a true gem. We will definitely return!

best Location in front of the beach. The terrace allwos you to view the sea, watch birds and enjoy the beautiful garden. The staff ist great. Every morning breakfast is served on the terrace. Sona makes the best Omelettes and has very good tips for the tailor. Michael is an excellent and reliable tour guide. Maliks barbecue is highly recommended. Thank you very much, for our great stay!

Everything was well thought out. All the little extras. Tea coffee, picnic basket, even a first aid kit! The most idyllic setting where all you can hear is the waves crashing and birds singing! Peace on earth! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! Breakfast was delivered to the room as well!

The power went out a few times, which is normal for Gambia, but they said they had a problem with the solar that needed fixing! Didn’t spoil our stay though and will definitely be back!

We had a great stay. Lovely house and environment, friendly staff and owners, peaceful but a short walk away from the small village. Fast and reliable wifi. We witnessed the installation of a brand new solar energy system, so electricity should be very reliable going forward.

This is one of the most amazing places we have stayed so I am reluctant to tell anyone else in case its not available when we come back. Emilie is great and has built a very special tree house that is really comfortable with everything you need, including binoculars to watch the amazing bird life right in front of the canopy. If you are into night life and crowded bars then look away, if you are into tranquility and beautiful romantic environments then this has got to be one of the best places we have ever stayed and is, by far, the best place on Sanyang beach. We absolutley loved it

Such a lovely place and people

The treehouse is so peaceful & comfortable. It's charming, rustic & simple. Lovely staff - Malik, Idris & Sona took really good care of us. WiFi was unexpectedly good. Breakfast, coffee, milk & water is provided for free (you have a gas stove, fridge/freezer & cafetiere in the room). Mike the driver was great company, took us to the craft Market & did all the haggling for us. The restaurant next door was great for food. If you want chilled evenings watching the sunset & days lazing on the terrace, this is for you.

Nothing, it was perfect for us
