Room was comfortable and warm. En-suite is awaiting refurbishment. The owners only took over last June so they are slowly refurbishing the hotel.

Dining room was more like a cafe as the cutlery was in a tub rather than preset. I had requested a low floor room but there wasn’t one available.

All meals were wonderful including breakfast. Our room was warm and comfortable although we would have preferred an en suite. All staff were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked for Hogmanay! We were with friends who had booked separately but had unfortunately got the wrong White Horse Hotel! The proprietor managed to accommodate them after getting a spare room ready. There was nothing an inconvenience to them. Can’t sing their praises enough.

We would have preferred the convenience of an en-suite although we were near a toilet and shower room.

I chose this hotel because it was the nearest to the locations I intended to visit. The hotel owners are very warm, friendly and kind people who made my little dog and I feel very welcome. The atmosphere in the hotel was one of utter warmth and friendliness and the locals in the pub were just lovely...chatty, charming making us feel accepted within their community. The food at the hotel was excellent! The room was fine as it had everything we needed including a strong wifi signal and I should add that it was very peaceful...no noise could be heard so a good night's sleep was guaranteed. If you are looking for a genuine taste of Scottish warmth try The White Horse Hotel.

Nothing because I appreciated the warmth and kindness of the hoteliers and the locals, it was a lovely place to stay at.
