Die Lage des Hauses am Rand von Hakone ist einmalig. Vom oberen Stockwerk kann man auf den "Lake Ashi" schauen. Die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestattet was es braucht. Die Betten waren bequem und die Räume ließen sich gut verdunkeln. Die Bedienung der, für europäische Verhältnisse merkwürdigen, Warmwassersteuerung wird gut erklärt, sodass man nicht kalt duschen muss. :-) Vor der Tür gibt es einen kostenlosen Parkplatz, welcher genutzt werden kann. Man sollte bei der Auswahl der Leihwagen aber die Enge der dortigen Situation beachten. Wir sind mit einem Toyota Noah (Länge 4,70m, Breite 1,73m) angereist und mussten einige Male umsetzen, um wieder ausparken zu können. Ist aber kein Nachteil der Unterkunft einfach, weil es nicht anders dort funktioniert. Auf Nachrichten über Booking wurde vom Gastgeber stehts zeitnah reagiert.

Negative Punkte sind uns während des Aufenthaltes nicht aufgefallen.

Interior deco was cosy and minimal plus spacious if u were to bring a big group over for bbq or hiking trip as there are enough beds and even a tatami on the first floor

Location was abit hard to find and needed to get google maps to navigate but not much of an issue . The road leading to the property is steep and has some cracks so a little inconvenient for the elderly or people with disability or anyone who wants to drive there

It was clean and very close to the lakeside with very good facilities, especially the kitchen and quiet. We particularly liked the traditional Japanese style room on the ground floor, a quiet space.

It's a little dark and cold so we used the heaters and it soon warmed up. The top floor landing was not well lit.
