Caldera's Majesty

There was nothing we did not like! but as you book your perfect spot, these key notes may help you! 1) located in imergovli (between Oia and Fira). Quietest of the 3, which we loved. still restaurants walking distance, markets etc….but nothing like Fira! we walked to downtown Fira on the path, took about 20 min. 2) this hotel has in my opinion the best sunset view EVER! it was room 4. The room is cozy but honestly it was perfect. great shower, great pressure. The bed faces the caldera, so when you wake up, that is what you see. it’s absolutely magical!!!! the patio is exceptional. hot tub w views, lots of seating area. table outside to eat, play cards, two loungers. No neighbours on one side at all!!!! 3 walk down to this room is steep, which means walk up to main area is steep! lol. but so worth it. 3) Tamara, the host. Wow, she is so genuine and pleasant. anything we needed she would get for us. she is hearing impaired, (a bit) and she apologized if we had to repeat ourselves. I felt so bad that she felt the need to apologize multiple times. she had told me some people get upset with her about it. That upset me even more! she is super hardworking and so is her Dad, he does maintenance and helps with bags. I have so much more respect for the owner (who we also me) for allowing Tamara the opportunity to work with a slight impairment. but, she earned it and continues to! this place even had a USB port, all our other hotels did not. that was a true bonus. 4) Breakfast…..incredible!!!! it is at a neighbouring hotel, quick 1 min walk, but spread was amazing. would fill us up for a full day of exploring.

not a complaint, but lacks garbages. we bought our food and would take it back to the room to eat as we had a way better view then any restaurant and garbage would not fit any bin. so we just made our own with plastic bags.

The view and the location and feels as private as you can be with a view, as the apartment we were in (apartment 1) was slightly set back. 15 min walk into the centre of Fira but be warned uphill back.

Nothing. It’s not the biggest of places but perfect for 2 people.

The view is amazing. Honestly the sunset view is the same as Oia - but it’s better because there is no one else around. Bed was comfortable. Terrace and terrace bed was comfortable and nice. Tamara and Yannis were so friendly (staff) They helped recommend activities and transportation and facilitated everything. Bathroom was very nice. Coffee, utensils and glasses provided in the room for free use. Again - the view!! Breath taking.

Amazing views. Great customer service. We were ungraded for a couple of nights. Loved both rooms we had. Highly recommend. Local family. Ideally placed.

We were in room 1 and were a little disappointed that the view from the room and spa was obstructed by the villa in front of us. Upon arrival, we were also taken back by the size of the space (it's pretty small). Everything else about the room was great!

The location was beautiful, very close to all things we wanted to see on the Island. Sunsets from the room were better than Oia (1st night watched the sunset from Oia, disappointing). Lots of space on the private patio. Quiet, with great restaurants around. Feels very quaint and an excellent get-a-way.

The drain didn't drain very quick and had standing water at times. Water shuts off in the shower and have to turn back on (not a problem, just inconvenient). Bed could have been more comfortable, however, I can sleep on anything.
