Stay in Someshwar

The hosts are very accommodating and professional at the same time. We reached at 5AM in the morning and they made us feel comfortable by offering a space to rest and freshen up though our check-in was at 12PM. Rooms are simple yet comfortable and tidy. Location is the best thing. A few mins walk to Dhashaswamedh ghat and Manikarnika ghat. Very close to Kashi Vishwanath temple as well. Also, the host is informative about the places for local sightseeing and you will have a good time planning your itinerary with them. Felt the prices can be made more affordable at least for somebody who wants to stay in kashi for longer periods of time.

The staff support is amazing. Since I did visit on peak day when Varanasi was crowded - the property team very in frequent contact and escorted to the location coming to the common location meeting point. Rooms are well maintained and worth. I recommend this property is a wise choice for Family stay or solo stay….

Price is quite heavy - may be due to the peak season - charging 2.8k for a person is quite heavy budget for the room.

I'd happily give Someshwar a perfect 10/10 score! During Kumbh Mela, my friends and I visited Varanasi, navigating through jam-packed roads and restrictions. Despite the chaos, Harshit and Divyanshu ensured our safe arrival and departure, even walking 30 minutes to escort us to and from the hotel. Their exceptional service didn't stop there. They accompanied us through Varanasi's narrow lanes, helping us with darshans at Maa Varahi, Maa Vishalakshi, Kala Bhairava, and Dundee Ganapathi temples. The hotel's prime location, near Ganga Ghat, Varahi Mandir, and Maa Visalakshi Mandir, Ganga Arthi at Dasaswamedh ghat was an added bonus. As a cleanliness enthusiast, I was impressed with the hotel's decent rooms and spotless bathrooms. Kudos to Harshit, Divyanshu, and their father for their outstanding hospitality! Someshwar truly exceeded our expectations.

The location is superb. One row behind the Man mandir ghat right next to Dashawashmedh Ghat. Baba Bishwanath ji mandir is in the corner.  Behavior of the staff and the family of the owner was superb. They were helpful in every manner.  Kashi was super crowded during the MahaKumbh period and they walked us till the girza ghar chowk and found us Riksaw at bargained rate while leaving. Value for money. If you want to stay right on the ghats and dont want to spend a fortune then this is the place.

We took two double bed rooms with private bathroom. One of them had a shared ventilation window with another room's bathroom. So when the other guests did not keep their bathroom clean we got the stink in ours as well. The owners told they have a plan to fix it very fast. The other room did not have this issue.

The hosts were very cooperative and helpful

The location is excellent it is hardly a minute walk from Dashavmedh ghat. So if you want something close to ghats and ganga arti this is the place to be. Divyanshu and Aishwarya, both were incredibly helpful. Due to unexpected change in our trip. We end up being there at 6 in the morning. We went there to drop our bags, but Divyanshu very kindly took us in and let us stay until our room was ready. That is 6 hour before scheduled check-in time. How generous of them. The place provide you a true homestay experience. Please keep in mind it can be a bit noisy on certain time of the day mostly in the morning around 8 as there is a temple on the other side of the road. But the whole area around the ghats is so conjusted I am sure you are going to have some noise from somewhere wherever you stay.

Friendly staff & a great location

An extra blanket or heater would have been welcome as Varanasi was cold. I had to leave early at 6:30am on both mornings and alerted staff about this but it took a while to get them up to unlock the front door each time which was a pain.
