"Beautiful property, location not great"

Beautifully decorated, great design and ambience. Lovely touches and so much to admire. Very welcoming and friendly

Access was difficult and the nearby main road was very busy and noisy. In a quieter location it would have been perfect.

"Charming peaceful retreat"

Villa Ceylon is a tranquil retreat from hectic Kandy. It is beautifully presented with a lovely (but chilly) central pool. There are lots of trees around with monkeys in them.

There were problems with the electricity & Internet when we were there. It’s quite far from the centre so be prepared to get a tuk tuk into Kandy.

"Calm in Kandy"

Don’t be deceived by the outside. Inside lies a lovely hotel with quirky and interesting decor set away from the busyness of Kandy. Staff are very accomodating - made us an early breakfast when we had an early check out and gave good tips for restaurants.

A fridge in the room would be good, and a blanket (we were provided with one when we requested).

Beautifully decorated villa with a very nice pool. One of the nicest rooms we stayed in during our trip.

Breakfast was a bit simple and location is a 30 min walk outside Kandy city

"Exquisitely decorated haven in Kandy"

Exquisitely decorated haven in Kandy. You pretty much have to use a tuctuc to get around, but if you go with the flow as we did with the wonderful Sudi, he will take you to all the good places. Highly recommended, with one caveat, see below

On arrival,after a dusty drive I had to manhandle my own and my wife’s case first down then up two flights of stairs. I was not amused. So, if you need a change of clothes on arrival, pack in small bag and have your big suitcase sent up later

Beautifully restored villa with three lovely guest rooms. The owner has used his artistic skills to make this one of the most enchanting boutique property anywhere. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is a short tuk tuk ride to the lake, downtown and nearby restaurants. Even comes with a small pool to cool off in on those hot days. Highly recommended!
