YEN Hidden Valley

Le cadre est juste magnifique. Parfait pour s’éloigner du bruit, notamment celui des chantiers immenses en cours au centre de Cat Ba. Les bungalows comme les chambres sont très bien finies, parmi les plus qualitatives que nous avons eu au Vietnam. Le personnel est agréable et les environs sont magnifiques pour se balader en plus d’être hyper calmes.

The staff was wonderful! So kind and helpful. Great English! Perfect place for those who want a peaceful and relaxing stay far from the big, noisy roads and densely populated (touristy) areas.

Maybe not so great for people who want to be close to the town and/or the beach.

“Hidden valley” properly describes the location! We loved the remoteness of this property - it’s a real sanctuary away from the crowds.

Nothing - we loved everything! From the friendliness of the staff to the quality of food, everything was wonderful.

La propreté de l’hôtel était irréprochable et le personnel très gentil et accueillant. L’endroit est magnifique, au milieu des montagnes et de la nature, ce qui rend le séjour très agréable. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la piscine, le restaurant ainsi que le petit déjeuner.

Le seul inconvénient est l’emplacement, qui est assez éloigné du centre-ville. Nous devions donc souvent prendre le taxi pour nous déplacer, ce qui revenait assez cher.

Super Lage und sehr freundliches Personal

Very nice location if you want to be remote and away from the crowds in Cat Ba. It’s a nice property with a lot of potential. They offer a lot of board games as well as latest books.

Although the stuff is very friendly, still it feels rather unprofessional and more improvised. We had the impression, that the team is not very well experienced in running such a business. E.g. you are getting your drinks without a glass. The dinner was one of the poorest we had in Vietnam. It tasted more like convenience food and was almost cold. The breakfast offers a couple of varieties like eggs and Pho, toast and jam. But overall presentation was very weak and not with a lot of love. The room is very tiny, so you cannot even unfold a suitcase. If you have two bags in your room, you have hardly room to move. We stayed at other places in Vietnam at similar price level, where it was much more professional, the food was much better and overall there was a lot of love and passion the people put into the business. Overall it’s a nice place with a lot of potential.

Very beautiful, quiet place to relax. Fantastic view of the mountains and very friendly and helpful personal.
