"Nice property near the port cellars in Gaia, excellent breakfast."

The room was clean and modern. It was close to the Gaia riverfront and port cellars. The room included shared laundry facilities. The included breakfast was excellent. The staff were very accommodating and quick to respond. We used the host services to take a Douro valley wine tour.and the trip was excellent..

The booking.com pictures showed a private terrace, yet the room didn't have one. When I checked the reservation I saw that it said ground floor. I got what I reserved and not what the booking.com pictures showed. The room was loud. We could hear the neighbors, especially their toilet. We had to wait 20 minutes for the pre-arranged transfer from the bus station, due to an accident. The Douro valley tour pickup point was about 1.5 km away. A pre-arranged airport shuttle never arrived.
