The Morritt Hotel

The location and customer service.

The room wasn’t very clean - dirty mugs, a clothing tag, and a random pill on the door mat as you walk in. Also, the underside of the taps where you lift to turn them on, in the hotel ladies toilets this is, were thick with limescale build-up, making them horrible to touch when turning on the tap.

Staff so friendly and helpful. Food delicious 😋 we ate in the bar one evening and then the restaurant both outstanding. Breakfast was lovely hot and cold options. Our room was in the annex which was a two minute walk from hotel it was amazing massive bed and bath tub so quiet would definitely use one of them rooms again.. Parking available. This is the second time we have stayed.. We used the spa next to the hotel the next day again amazing so relaxing we only used the hot tubes and rooms but brilliant.. 100% recommend 👌

The outside was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

The inside was dated and unclean. When we got to our room, the handle was completely broken and it was already unlocked. Only the latch worked, but even that was pulling away from the door frame - it did not make our room feel secure. There were a couple of large cobwebs with spiders in the corners of the room and the wooden beams. We were also greeted by a dead spider on the bed. On the floor by the sofa was a biscuit wrapped that hadn’t been cleaned up. The bathroom had mould around the grouting and shower screen, but the shower itself was powerful and decent. The room was freezing cold and no tampering with the radiators made any difference. We were charged a lot of money for two breakfasts each, but after the first breakfast came out cold and unappealing, we decided not to bother having it the following day.

Almost everything went well. Staff friendly.

3 of the 4 evening bar meals were dull and poor value. Traffic noise at night.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The rooms need refurbishment.

Excellent location for our journey just off A66 Nice room.

Service in restaurant was a bit hit and miss and limited breakfast choices
