Parada Beach Camp

Prachtige plek op een bijna onbewoond eilandje, een uur varen vanaf Sibaltan. Mooi snorkelen in de omgeving. Personeel doet haar best het je naar je zin te maken.

Geen strand, je kunt er niet zwemmen, behalve in het zwembad. En om te snorkelen moet je met een boot gaan, maar dat is dan wel weer een uitstekende ervaring.

L’hôtel est très beau, niché sur une île (Iloc Island) avec des tentes et une zone de réception (repas) agréable. On a vu sur la mer où qu’on soit dans l’hôtel. La nourriture est excellente quoi qu’un peu chère. La piscine est agréable et donne directement sur la mer, Plusieurs activités sont proposées (Island hoping, pêche avec le personnel de l’hôtel que nous recommandons +++). La mise à disposition de transfert gratuit depuis el Nido, à l’aller et au retour.

Les tentes sont confortables en cas de beau temps. Malheureusement nous avons eu du vent qui rend l’expérience inconfortable, et beaucoup de pluie. Les tentes sont alors trempées à l’intérieur, avec de l’eau qui coule et peut mouiller le sol et les tapis. C’est ce qui nous est arrivé. Notre tente était vraiment mouillée avec le tapis trempé, chose que nous avons signalé à la gérante plusieurs fois en début de journée. La situation a mit du temps à être solutionnée, après des relances de notre part au près de la gérante, celle ci n’étant pas toujours d’une grande amabilité. Il n’y a pas de salle de bain individuelle, il ne s’agit que de douches communes, qui ne sont pas du plus grand confort, il n’y a notamment pas d’eau chaude. De plus, l’hôtel contrairement à l’indication sur booking n’est pas El nido comme dit plus haut mais sur une île isolée. Cela ne nous a pas gêné d’autant plus que nous l’avions comprit. Cependant, malgré l’isolement, il n’y a pas de possibilité de payer par carte, ce qui fait qu’on est obligé en absence d’appoint pendant le séjour de retirer au départ et de donner l’argent en cash au chauffeur de la navette, ce qui n’est pas le plus pratique. De plus, à la fin du séjour, quand on nous a remit la note, j’ai fait remarquer qu’un petit déjeuner ne nous avait pas été compté, afin qu’ils le rajoutent à la note. Malgré cette erreur de leur part que nous avons signalé, et malgré les difficulté avec nos tentes aucun geste commercial n’a été fait, d’autant plus que c’était notre lune de miel et que cela leur avait été dit. Pour toutes ces raisons, bien que l’hôtel et le lieu aient des charmes indéniables, le rapport qualité prix n’est vraiment pas bon, avec des nuitées à un prix bien trop élevé pour la qualité proposée.

Nos encantó el lugar, de verdad que fue una estadía de desconexión, la comida es muy buena. El establecimiento en sí tiene todo para pasar tu estadía tranquilo, a los alrededores hay playas muy lindas y las comunidades aledañas son muy cálidas.

Our stay at Parada Beach Camp was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. The food was delicious, the hammocks were perfect for long reading sessions, and the whole place invites you to slow down and soak up island life. One of the highlights was getting to know the story behind Parada from the lovely owners. It’s inspiring to hear how they built the camp with such care and integrity. They employ indigenous people from the island and are clearly committed to doing things properly, respectfully, and sustainably - and you really feel that in the atmosphere. They were incredibly helpful with recommendations and arrangements. On their suggestion, we took a forest trek and were rewarded with absolutely breathtaking views at the top. They can also easily help organize boats for island hopping, sunset fishing, or pretty much anything you feel like doing. Something that doesn’t get talked about enough is the wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a pair of Palawan hornbills - an unforgettable and very special sight - and every evening we watched the moon set over the water as a family of hermit crabs made their way down to the beach. Parada Beach Camp is the perfect mix of comfort, nature, and heart. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

The location and design was amazing, everything was spot on from start to finish! Ellen and the team were outstanding, nothing was too much to ask and they went above and beyond to deliver a great service - food and island hopping was also amazing.
