Urban Girl Hostel

The location is great - walking distance to Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple. There's also a shopping mall nearby which is convenient. The beds were comfy and each had an individual fan. Wifi was decent. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

A bit hard to find as Google Maps takes you to a slightly different spot, so would be good to have some signs on the street, or instructions sent beforehand. The large dormitory layout could get quite noisy and there were people talking on the phone very late at night when I was there, so I did not have the best sleep.

Nice place to spend one or 2 nights in Colombo. Clean and comfortable, but don’t expect any luxury. Location is good, near the center.

Mosquitos, no sheet given, bed not very fresh, slept on base floor right next to entrance and it’s not always locked.

Staff is lovely and very accomodating to your needs. Rooftop is pretty nice. Location is very good with easy access to major points of interest and bus stops just a minute away.

Some kind of a night stand or a shelf by the bed would be useful. Also perhaps a better sign on the road. The address of the place doesn't take you all the way to the hostel, as it's in a small street. My tuk tuk driver couldn't find it and we had to go round and round for an hour until we saw it's in the small street. If you are navigating with google maps, better search for Liv Colombo club, then you'll see the hostel on its left site

One of the standout aspects of my stay was the person in charge was exceptionally friendly. From the moment I arrived, she was very welcome and helped me out with my queries.

Great location, very close to an interesting Buddhist temple and a lake with many wild birds. There's a big supermarket about 10 minutes away. Staff is very helpful and caring. They kept in touch until I found the place. Also, a welcoming cup of coffee was very good. I liked the lounge area, good space to chill

There's a karaoke next door. I actually liked to hear what people sang and it helped me fall asleep, but if you're sensitive to sounds, bring earplugs
