The people! They are so helpful with everything; tours, food, your next destination, making sure the WiFi is good enough, and you get a lot of great tea!

The weather.. But ofcourse they couldn't help it. The glass wall makes you feel like you're sitting outside and I could watch some amazing birds!

Delicious food. clean and healthy

Since the room roof is wooden noises are there from upstair rooms. Sometimes it disturbs for sound sleep

The breakfast was huge and very tasty. There was parking for our tuk tuk. The staff were very friendly.

The entire bathroom would flood after every shower. Just small things like no hand towels, bath mat or hand soap.

All the comforts of home. Clean, great bed and hot shower! We stayed 8 nights at Amaraai Lake Edge. The location was great being walking distance to both the Lake and city. The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot! The room was spacious and clean. Linen and towel change was offered regularly during our stay. The owner and manager Ranishka couldn't be more helpful. As was the caretaker. There are four large rooms so it would be ideal with a group of friends as there is also several living areas. You can sit outside your room on your own or join with others. We joined with other tourists occasionally or sat alone. Breakfast was good and very flexible re time and Sri Lankan or Western. Ranishka is also a tour guide and was very helpful with local tours and transportation. We also enjoyed the cooking course they offered by his family. Can't recommend Amaraai Lake Edge highly enough.

Big house with a field view, quite calm. Very friendly and helpful hosts who were taking care of our needs (feels like home so you really have feeling that they do care about your impression and your comfort) Free transfer from train station and welcome tea Hosts arranged laundry for us (the place does not have washing machine) Nice spacious terrace Location is good, 15 minutes from the city, also one can go through the field and amusement park, then it will be pretty close to Single Tree hill and temple

Note that I mention these disadvantages mostly as advices for the hosts to improve the place, and we loved the overall stay 🙏 they are also applied to our room located on the 1st floor. - sound isolation is quite bad. We lived at ground floor, and our neighbours (family of I guess 6 people) had late check-in, around 22. When they were in shared living room we cannot hear movie from the laptop in our room :) when they went upstairs, we also cannot sleep because of the chatting and stomping, so I have to let them know around midnight that we hear every step :( I have to say that when guests changed next day, it was not that loud but still I believe this aspect needs to be improved to give to the guests some privacy. - location of sockets was tricky, because bathroom door in open position blocks them both. If let’s say you close the door and put your gadgets on charge, you will need to switch them off any time you need to use the bathroom! As both me and my mom are thin, we arrived at the solution to leave it half-open and reaching bathroom through the gap, but it will not work for everyone :) - if one uses the shower with moderate+ water pressure, there will be water pond in whole bathroom, I guess because of the way how it is constructed. It is better if you use small water pressure - as an advice for future guests! - it would be nice to have several breakfasts zones to serve different groups of guests who want to have breakfast at the same time. Your house is spacious, and I think it can be organised in the future. - one last wish - you have such a beautiful view on the field from the terrace, with cows and horses and birds.. probably it is possible also to remove the garbage from this field, it really spoils the view. The apartment and garden are quite clean, and it is sad that this garbage outside impresses the guests…

Room we had was little bit stinky and after bathroom mold cleaning will be all OK

We really enjoyed this place. The accomodation was very comfortable and we even had thick blankets and the water of the shower was hot. We also did a tour around Nuwara Eliya (tea factory, waterfalls etc) with the host which was amazing. We can really recommend staying at this new place.
