The Urban Hideout

Had an amazing stay at Urban Hideout. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was perfect, close to city center, very peaceful. The host was friendly and responsive, making the experience hassle-free. Would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast could've been improved.

Cleanliness and very good breakfast.

The place is newly renovated and with a balcony overlooking the golf course behind it (the river bank was with a lot of trash but it's bothering us). It's quiet and private, away from the road (need to walk through a corridor). Good hot shower and comfort beds. The breakfast is really good. The family is great host and they were so flexible to serve us the breakfast at 6.30am just because we needed to go at 7am.

The wifi router is placed in the living room, making the signal weak or none in the bedroom. It'd be better to place it in the kitchen or in the bedroom. It's not a big issue since its a mobile router, the guests could move it if they want to, but still it'd be nice if it can be placed to a better position.

The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great, even packing if up for a 5am start was super appreciated. Located pretty close to the centre with a view of the golf course. Nice hot shower

The cleanliness wasn't great, made worse by mouldy walls and ceilings and the bed had seen better days.

Very hospitable and friendly family. Brilliant breakfast and real fresh! Nice area to stay in with nice shop owners nearby. Family kindly obliged us to take us to the station and an early trip to Horton Plains

Hot water for me is essential! We did not have hot water till the day we checked out I managed to get a hot shower, when I complained on the second day I was told would be sorted and we would get some discount as to the hassle. We did not get discount and was stuck with cold showers for most of our stay! The area at night is over run buy dogs barking not possible to sleep. And the cottage is not insulated at all meaning it’s hot as hell in the day and freezing at night. All and all I would have enjoyed it but for me with my travels hot water is the most basic of requirements I need! Internet is not high speed and was one of the main reasons I booked it, it is horrifically slow in able to down load emails as I work remotely that was also an essential thing for me! Internet speed is under 1mbps
