Hars and his wife have created a beautiful place to stay. The location is stunning, overlooking Sumba’s mountains. The accommodation is unique, fun and comfortable. The food that he provides was incredible! It’s so great to see such an eco conscious place, with all the food grown on site. And the hosts are kind and helpful. I highly recommend.

Een prachtige serene plek. Een oase van rust en werkelijk prachtig uitzicht over de heuvels. Hars is een gepassioneerde, biologische boer. In slechts vier jaar tijd heeft hij deze plek van kale rots tot een groene oase omgetoverd. Fruitbomen, kruiden, bloemen. Alles zelf gezaaid en gestekt. Ook de vier accomodaties heeft Hars zelf gecreëerd. We hebben genoten van dit alles. De maaltijden zijn met liefde en passie bereid. Alles fris uit eigen tuin. Een ware smaakbeleving. We hadden graag langer gebleven. Dank je wel Hars. We hopen dat je veel mensen/jongeren mag inspireren met jouw visie/project.

« Une parenthèse enchantée, humaine et éco-responsable ! Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans cette guest house, véritable havre de paix alliant confort et respect de la nature. L'accueil chaleureux, et les petits-déjeuners et les dîners ( composés de produits du jardin de Hars) étaient exceptionnels. Un engagement écologique (eau de source, permaculture ,matériaux durables) qui permet de se ressourcer en toute sérénité. Hars nous a guidé dans East Sumba dans des lieux uniques, magnifiques. Il est passionné de nature et connait très bien la culture locale, hors des circuits touristiques. Un régal, un homme passionné et passionnant, une belle personne. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter ! »

We arrived late in the evening and the owner ,friendly and hospitable,fixed us a delicious welcoming dinner. We especially liked the spacious bathroom with its sculptural wooden towel hooks. Wonderful to be surrounded by nature with an amazing view of green rolling hill.
