The place itself is in a bit of a run down area but the apartment was very very nice.

Sofa bed in the living room is very uncomfortable, hall way up to property isn't very up to date and there are many people that stand outside the property day and night drinking and being loud
GBGBThe property was lovely and spacious. Lots of room for a family of 4. Nice and clean and had everything you need when staying. Location itself is great - very close to high street - all the shops you need for anything you’d like . Southend sea front just a short walk away .
1)The sofa bed is horrendous . Painful bars digging in . It is not sleep-able on at all . 2) We had one bath towel , one hand towel and one regular towel for a two night stay for a family of 4. This wasn’t ideal when towels listed for property . 3) The building is located next to a hostel which has constant rough sleepers out on the street outside the property - police regularly visiting and ambulances etc But simply cannot fault anything else and I would book again but bring an air mattress with me .

PLMy family and I spent 4 nights in this apartment. Everything we needed was there. Very close to shops, beach. Very helpful apartment owners. We will definitely go back there again. I recommend this apartment highly.

GBWe stayed at the Golden Tulip flat for four days end of July, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The flat was nice, clean, and calm, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Its great location made it easy to enjoy all that the area has to offer. A few minutes walk from the beach, all types of supermarkets, shops, coffees and restaurants and the train station at 10 min walk. What truly made our stay exceptional was the owner. She was incredibly helpful and a joy to communicate with, always available to answer any questions and provide recommendations. Her warm and accommodating nature made us feel right at home. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would hugely recommend this flat to anyone visiting Southend-on-Sea. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Only one very minor detail, the flat may benefit from warmer light bulbs rather than the current cold white ones. But nothing problematic!
