It was perfect! I stayed for a number of nights during autumn and will be returning the next time I visit near Lisbon or the center of Portugal. I was looking for somewhere in Colares specifically because I had been there several times before, and knew that it was a nice area that is close enough to Lisbon to be convenient when driving, but far enough to be quiet, more relaxed, and feel more like the country. Before arriving, the host and I shared contact details and kept in contact throughout the stay about things like logistics for check-in check-out, as well as recommendations for things to do in the area (restaurants, activities, sights, etc). The accommodations were perfect for me as a solo traveler, with a small kitchenette with a fridge, a table, sofa, bed with dressers, internet, and a bathroom with a sink/shower/towels. Also, you can make free use of the outdoors / yard in the property, which I took advantage of. There were other things as well (like the TV) that I didn't make use of. If it gets cold for you inside the house, there is also a space heater that works perfectly. The property is located a short walk (~10-15 minutes) from a lovely beach and town, Praia das Maças, where there are cafés and restaurants, and there are plenty of larger supermarkets located within a driving distance (there may be some located within walking distance but I did not look for them. I only bought groceries at Lidl in Terrugem, 15-20 minutes by car). For me, more important than the accommodations was the kindness and hospitality I received from the members of the family managing the property who were always warm and friendly, giving me recommendations on where to go and what to see, and happy to help me practice my Portuguese on a day-to-day basis!

Ambiente un po’ umido..ma non è colpa dell’host

It was such a lovely and cozy apartment with a spacious green garden equiped with bbq. The host and her family are beyond hospitable and friendly. We got a nice tour around the area when we arrived and that was special! Location was quite convinient but wothout the car you need to either use a local bus or walk about 20min to the nearest stores and restaurants. We need to come back to Colares sooner than later and this place is a perfect stay for our family.

Pues hay muchas cosas que visitar y el paraje es increíble por esa zona. Para los veranos suaves que tiene la zona, la casa cumple con todas las necesidades.

Las carreteras de Portugal no son lo mejor del mundo y hay 0 aparcamiento en el pueblo y la ciudad de Sintra. ( En el alojamiento no había problemas para aparcar justo enfrente)

A casa fica perto das praias,tem um quintal bonito, estava limpa e bem decorada.

O quintal esta partilhado com a casa dos proprietários que não permite ter .privacidade .A churrasqueira no quintal tem problema com chaminé(o fumo não sai pela chaminé),foi um horror quando fizemos churasco.

Que no hubiese estractor para cocinar,tenías que salir fuera a la terraza para cocinar con la placa de inducción portátil
