De'Coco Bungalows

The location of the bungalows were great, and we really liked the part of the island it was on. It was close to some nightlife, but the noise didn't reach the bungalows. The staff was great, too, and the wifi was very reliable. The water in the shower was hot and overall it was a decent place.

There are only two bungalows on the property, and my parents were in the second one. The lighting in their bungalow was fine, but in mine, it was extremely dim, and there were clearly a couple lights that weren't working. It didn't bother me too much, but it is still something to consider. Also, the outdoor seating area was quite nice, although it's situated right along a main walkway, so there were constantly people coming and going. The seating area isn't entirely private either- anyone can look through the bamboo walls if they want, so it wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked. In addition, there was construction going on just over the wall, and they started around 9:00am every morning.

The bed was comfy, the room was pretty and I loved the bathroom. The location is on the Sunset side of the island, close to lots of nice beach restaurants and bars and shops. It’s conveniently close to the harbour - we arrived late so this was helpful.

It was down I little side alley that was a bit dingy and dirty. There is zero view! No swimming pool Wouldn’t recommend for more than a night.

Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, perfect location.

One minor complaint is that the shower overflows after a while.

The bathroom drain was severely clogged and a bad smell to it.

We would definitely come again. Located on sunset beach (no ocean view), various nearby restaurants and bars offer many good options for breakfast, lunch and dinner spots with beautiful views, usually always live music in the evening - the bungalow we stayed in is comfy, well designed if also a bit dated by now from the island nature, the bathroom is quite large and (mostly) indoor, the property has friendly, young, motivated and helpful staff, easy and uncomplicated bike rental. At the beach you can find plankton hidden in the sand at night

Bungalows are a bit run-down compared to photos but still very nice, shower drain would clog a bit, toilet stand was a bit loose, the bungalow is a bit close to reception office for privacy, smoke of burning rubbish from neighbors (it's an island) + loud music noise at night from club further down the beach (these not fault of staff, all accomodations in this area will have to deal with this)

No breakfast. The WiFi is great. Power tripped a couple of times but staff very communicative. Bathroom is semi outside and not the best if you are prone to mosquitos like me. Very close to evening/night activities and can hear later night things from the beach but fine if you are not a light sleeper. Huge bed.

The open bathroom meant mosquitos and spiders. Not my fave. Power trips twice in 3 days Have to get a horse cart if wheelie luggage as the 10 min walk is quite strenuous. Would be fine with more will power or a backpack. On the return, I didn't want to drag my bag again.

The biggest advantage of this property is the wonderful staff. Zihad welcomed us warmly upon arrival and was exceptionally friendly. He provided all the assistance we needed without any pressure to sell tours or additional services. He helped us organize bikes, which were of good quality and reasonably priced. He also promptly addressed any issues we had during our stay and even gave us his personal phone number to call him at any time. The room was comfortable and spacious, with excellent air conditioning. Additionally, it was less than a 3-minute walk to the beach and very close to great restaurants.

The lighting in the room could be improved, as it tended to get a bit dark at night. Although the room has a private balcony, you need to close some curtains (located in the external area) to ensure privacy, and these curtains were quite dirty. None of these are major issues, but they could benefit from some attention.

Ideally situated: close to the sea and near all’ restaurante.

Missing some lights. The lamps were not enought. The bathroom could be refreshed. Taking a shower was filling in the Bath tub super quickly which transformed the bathroom in a pool quite rapidly.

Beautiful bungalow which was decorated to celebrate our honeymoon. The room was spacious, the bathroom was really big. The staff were so friendly, particularly Z, who was always on hand to check in and make sure we had all we needed in person and through WhatsApp. The property organised bicycles for us which were great to get around the island

The shower could of been more powerful, and the door wasn’t the easiest to close. Only minor issues, a beautiful stay.

The room is large, and so is the bathroom. Even if there are any shortcomings with this hotel, they pale in comparison to the friendly and always helpful hosts. The hotel is right by the sea, very convenient and comfortable. A wonderful terrace in front of the room is an additional bonus.
