Firemasters House Historic Church Street in Tulbagh

We had the most incredible experience staying at Firemasters House in the heart of Historic Church Street, Tulbagh. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the charm and character of the beautifully restored home, it truly feels like stepping back in time without sacrificing any modern comforts. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique, relaxing escape in one of South Africa’s most charming towns. We’ll definitely be back!

This was probably one of the most equipped kitchens we have seen in a long time and the cutlery and crockery is amazing. The decor is beautiful for an old house like this. It really is a beautiful place for a weekend getaway.

The power kept tripping on the Saturday evening. They were quick to sort it out but we got the impression the hostess was a little annoyed every time we sent her a sms about the power. It happened about 8 times. We did not use the swimming pool and boma across the road as it was too cold. This may be an issue for younger children as they have to cross the street to get to these amenities. A recommendation would be a cleaning service. Aircon was difficult to manage as the batteries were flat but we did not want to bother the hostess again with this.

A fantastic property on historic Church Street. Wonderful house and facilities! We had not expected the garden & pool on the other side of the street. Very difficult to beat - anywhere.

The property is stunning, space, decor and energy of the house is beautiful. Pool / garden area is great to relax and take in the weather.

Mother in law wished there was a TV. But wi-fi was fine to stream on her phone.

This is a very special house styled meticulously, filled with luxury amenities guaranteed to make your stay a memorable one. Highlights included the courtyard with jacuzzi, swimming pool surrounded by nature and spacious kitchen fit for any chef. A great find!
