LKI must say, this is one of the friendliest and nicest cottages in Nuwara Eliya. The staff was very friendly. The vibes and cottage's unique structures and music are very good. the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. they have their own music band i think it is reggae . there is no any loud noices or anything If one wants to come to Nuwara Eliya to relax, this is the place you must choose. They contacted us until we got home. Highly recommended
DEWir verbrachten drei Nächte im King Fern Cottage. Schon am Bahnhof wurden wir von Lal, dem Hotel Manager, und einem Kollegen sehr freundlich empfangen. Lal sowie das übrige Hotelpersonal waren überaus freundlich und wir hatten ständig etwas zu lachen. Das Restaurant versorgte und mit gutem lokalen Essen und auch das Frühstück war lecker (wir bekamen sogar zweimal ein typisch Sri lankanisches Frühstück). Jeden Abend gab es von Nishan und einem seiner sehr talentierten Bandmitgliedern eine tolle musikalische Untermalung am Kamin.
Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, waren aber sauber und die Betten gemütlich und warm. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

GBStaff were lovely, simple but tasty breakfast, great room with a balcony, hammock, hot shower and strong WiFi. Short walk to town in a nice, quiet area.
The room could do with an update but has everything you need.WiFi was a bit temperamental from the bed but was fast and strong from balcony/restaurant.
LKLoved this place. The venue is unique, rainforest style. The owner is an incredible musician (think Sri Lankan Bob Marley!) and has set up an event space out the back where his band puts on a reggae gig each night (lights, smoke machine, pumping speakers etc.). It’s a vibe! Food was incredible. Had the Chicken Kottu for dinner and curry and rice for lunch. We used their Tuk Tuk driver to get to and from the train, as well as to take us to Horton’s Plains for the Worlds End walk. Left early and stopped in the perfect spot to watch the sunrise on the way. The staff here were so helpful and eager to please. Highly recommend, especially if you are after something a little unique to add a story to your holiday!
