The general ambience of the pub was fantastic, such a wonderful experience and Matt couldn’t have done more for us. Thank you!

Nothing stands out

The entertainment in the pub in the evening was a very strange choice, was very loud and did not fit with the pub feel. Expensive and not well maintained. For example no working light bulbs in ether bed side light or the desk

The rooms were well appointed and quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was simply delicious.

The mattress and pillows were too soft.

TV in room didnt work

Great location just off the M40 and close to Bicester Village.

The room had just 2 coat hangers - a cheap wire hanger and a plastic hanger, not enough for two people and nothing to hang trousers on! The TV was only tuned in to BBC 1 and 2. The other channels were not working. The TV remote controller had its batteries round the wrong way, which we rectified. The shower head in the bathroom needed cleaning - water was spurting out in all directions. Service in the dining room for dinner was casual and lackadaisical. We had to ask twice for certain items. Roast beef dish was disappointing. Breakfast was ok.

Nice atmosphere, quality fittings & friendly staff and good parking.

Attention to detail in the room. No remote for the TV, blinking light in the bathroom extension connecting the table light, coffee maker and kettle was plugged into itself rather than the power. Took some time to work out what was wrong with it. Suggest a little check sheet for the chamber person to tick off on each rotation.

It felt very cosy and comforting. It was clean and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and great value for money.
