The Lion Bicester

The room was spacious and comfortable with a large double bed. It also had a huge shower room. The food in the bar/restaurant (its the same menu) was interesting. We had Fish and Chips and a Chicken/Chorizo Burger. The portions were good and the food was very tasty, especially with a nice glass of wine to help it down! The staff were great, laughing and joking pretty much all the time. Despite being relatively close to the M40 we didn't hear any motorway noise at all.

Getting into Wendlebury is a bit of a challenge. If you come off the motorway you drive past the village entrance on the dual carriageway through some lights to a roundabout and then come back on yourselves to the village entrance. This entrance is quite small. Everything relating to The Lion itself was great!

Very nice pub-hotel-restaurant with cosy rooms and very good food (dinner and breakfast). Team super nice and helpful. WiFi can be an issue, but fully solved with help from the pub team. Really good value for money.

Lovely area, great bathroom, very clean & modern with a huge shower. Welcoming staff. Didn’t eat there as we were meeting relatives but dining room looked lovely. The pub had plenty of character. Parking available. Location brilliant, out of the hustle & bustle & took us only 10 mins drive to Bicester Village.

The bed was too soft & lumpy for us, sorry.

Relaxed helpful staff. Great with our dog. We've stayed here a few times and always feel relaxed and happy.
