The Lion Bicester

The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. Very close to Bicester Village shopping centre. Includes free parking as well.

The toiletries can be better.

The location and food were both excellent, and the staff were mainly friendly and welcoming.

We were disappointed with the cleanliness and condition of the room, especially considering we had booked a superior room. There were visible marks on the wall near the waste bin, the carpet appeared grubby, and the curtains were damaged with several hooks missing. It did not meet the standard we expected.

Staff were very polite and really helpful, we arrived late in the day and the kitchen had closed. A very helpful man from the bar (possibly the manager) advised us of local options and also advised we were welcome to have a delivery dropped at the hotel. He even offered plates and cutlery to assist us. Breakfast was lovely and the inside of the bar/restaurant area was beautiful.

The room looked lovely upon entrance but was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room as a whole. The shower was full of limescale and there was carpet larvae in the bathroom. The main room could have done with a decent flick round with a duster as there were multiple spiders and cobwebs around the ceiling. Just felt that for the price of a nights stay it should have been cleaner than it was.

Room couldn’t be ventilated properly as no window. It was uncomfortably hot. I didn’t see this mentioned in room description.

The whole place was just lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was large with a massive comfortable bed and the two portable tower fans were much needed after a very hot day. Bathroom lovely and modern and exceptionally clean. Dinner and breakfast was lovely.

What a lovely place. We really enjoyed our stay here. Room was super, staff were really excellent including helping us when our taxi was cancelled at the last moment, and the breakfast was delicious. Shane we could not have stayed longer.
