Great location just a short walk from Lime Street Station

My room (306) was adjacent to manually operated fire doors, that were extremely noisy. It was impossible to enjoy a good nights sleep because of the noise and vibration caused by the fire doors. Unfortunately no alternative rooms were available.

The location. The guy checking us in was very polite and helpful. That was the only good thing about the stay!

I have to say I'm really disappointed with this hotel. Firstly they boast pictures of their bar area which looks inviting. The bar didn't open at all. When I questioned this with a member of reception, their response was 'this hasn't been open for f**King years mate'. The room was very scruffy.The bathroom walls looked awful. The shaver plug and light didn't work. There were no bedside lamps so you either had the main light or nothing. Not ideal when the switch is by the door nowhere near the beds. The TV signal kept vanishing making it almost impossible to watch anything. Freezing cold room and a small heater that didn't do much at all. It looked brown and burned too! The kettle had no detachable lead so it had to be unplugged from the extension lead draped over the dressing table to go and fill it up. There were no spoons with the tea/coffee facilities. Very loud music from a nearby club. I asked the receptionist what time it would finish to which he replied 'no idea mate. It's Saturday isn't it so what do you expect' All in all I think this is an awful hotel and certainly not worth £153 for a night. This was the hotels reply to my complaint: THE CUSTOMER FORGOT TO MENTION THAT HE WAS ALLOWED TO CHECK IN EARLY TO A REFURBISHED ROOM THE NEAREST CLUB IS OVER 500 YARDS AWAY AND NONE ELSE COMPLAINED UNPLUGGING A KETTLE IS NO BIG DEAL AND NOT ONCE DID HE COMPLAIN AT THE DESK SO AT THIS TIME WE ARE UNWILLING TO GIVE COMPENSATION My response: Thank you for your response. However, I must strongly disagree with both the tone and the substance of your reply. Firstly, being allowed to check in early does not excuse the condition of the room. While you describe it as “refurbished,” this was not reflective of the actual state.

Staff was great, really helpful. Also location next to Lime street station helps a lot.

The building is old, so were some HVAC and electrical equipments.

Reception staff excellent, helpful, chatty. All in all it was somewhere to sleep and close to the station.

Room was ok but no plug in one sink and in the other room the plug didn't work, not enough tea bags or milk in either room. The hotel does need modernising as some of the bathroom floor tiles were cracked, only 1 bin in the bathroom and nothing in the bedroom to put tea bags or rubbish in. Kettle didn't have a very big lead so had to unplug it to make a brew.

Cena nie była wysoka jak na hotel w centrum miasta. Dobre połączenie (autobusy, pociągi). Bardzo przyjazna i pomocna obsługa.

Close to town centre . Staff were really helpful and accommodating, only downside was there was some banging going on for some time quite late in the evening, but other than that a very enjoyable stay. Definitely stay again x
