Poihipi Farm Stay

Our stay couldn't have been easier or more enjoyable. We were instantly made to feel right at home and spending time with John and Doreen felt more like visiting friends than staying with strangers. The bed was lovely and comfy, the farm outlook was restorative and the facilities were just what we needed. Overall, a wonderful stay - very much recommended.

Met by host on arrival. They had started the wood fire as it was late in the evening so cabin was warm and cosy. Enjoyed my entire stay there. Great to wander around farm. Great Hosts

We were greeted on arrival by a friendly staff member who showed us the way to the cottage. Our elderly relatives were very impressed by the hundred year old cottage, the friendly hosts who lit the fire to ensure the house was warm and cosy during our stay. All our needs were taken care of from arrival through to our departure. We are very grateful and definitely looking forward to our next stay.

The weather, cold and wet.

Quaint character cottage - very Kiwi. Lots of thoughtful touches made it cosy and homely. Deb & Wayne were great hosts. We highly recommend.

A great change to the ordinary. Very friendly hosts. A great well stocked fireplace. Breakfast food was good. The noodle van at the corner was good value.

Nothing. The building is 100 years old and very atmospheric.

quiet area, Very clean cabin. Kitchen had everything necessary for simple meals, bonus was the bbq on the veranda-had great lamb chops one night. Bed was comfortable. Dumpling stand down the hill was very tasty. The view outside on a clear night is just breath-taking, so many stars! Aprox 1 hr drive to Rotorua.

We were only two, so we slept in the bedroom and closed the door but if you use the pull out couch in the living room the water heater can be a bit noisy.
