the overall vibe of the lodge was made to feel like a home away from home by our lovely lodge owner Philippa and her sister, Philippa met us at location for the tour and to gift us a welcome ginger cake (which was exceptional with a morning coffee). then overall the area, the location the walks and the wooded area close by were lovely once at this location you really don't have to travel for for things but obviously you can if you want too!

Everything was beautiful just a shame the weather was so bad when we went definitely be going back.

The tv is a bit outdated would've liked to watch netflix on a night but still amazing place

"Excellently relaxing weekend"

Started with a lovely warm and friendly welcome from the owner who gave us plenty of great suggestions for our stay and even left us a homemade cake. The actual property was in a great standard and super cosy and nice place to relax. Great location but definitely need a car if you’re wanting to go places.

There is no WiFi if that is something you are bothered about. We personally didn’t mind as lots of dvds and board games to provide entertainment

Accommodation had everything you could need for your holiday and was very clean. Great outdoor area to enjoy your coffee in the morning and meals in warmer weather and is secure for dogs. Phillipa was an excellent host. Very knowledgeable. Great location for touring.

There was no washing machine, maybe if staying a longer time, a washing machine would be a good addition rather than the freezer.

"Lovely little break away"

the caravan was very clean and cosy. the beds were comfy and we all slept very well . The closed in veranda was great for our dog. The location was perfect for visiting different areas in the Lakes. Philippa was very friendly and accommodating and makes lovely cakes!

the en suite toilet we found a bit too small, but we used the main bathroom which was not a problem.
