Everything was perfect was nice to be greeted and shown round by Phillipa given the keys and contact number if any problems talked about the local area where I discovered 2 old quarrys to walk the dogs and felt like home from home.

Phillipa made me feel very welcome and went above and beyond what I was expecting even going so far as to provide a very delicious ginger cake. The accommodation was spotless and everything I needed was provided for.

Very comfortable, beautiful location. We really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here if visiting Lake District and hope to stay again.

The accommodation was excellent even the children loved it and was enclosed so they couldn’t get out . Phillipa was so helpful and friendly and was very clean , lots of kids games to keep them entertained, tea and coffee already there and Phillipa even bought us fresh flowers and made us a cake . The beds were comfy and we couldn’t ask for a better stay , things to do close by for the children and plenty of walks and Phillipa was great telling us where we could go . We will definitely be back . Thanks for having us .

Philippa was very welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed. The lodge is furnished beautifully and super cozy and comfortable. All kitchen and cooking equipment is provided, along with lots of lovely extra bits to make the stay more enjoyable (e.g., board games, magazines, DVDs).

Fabulous host. Philippa really goes out of her way to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Great accommodation, excellent location. Would book again.

A little bit of a drive to get to places
