Great location, great food and really friendly and helpful staff

Very nice bar

Room was very small and dark with a view over the aircon units. It was a shame that we were put in such a small dark room as I don't think the hotel was full.

It was perfect

Staff were lovely, bed comfy and parking convenient (yet expensive). Nice outlook in lovely square, easy to walk to all Brum has to offer. Bar and restaurant area nicely decorated with good modern feel.

We were not made aware that the bar would have events on and had to move rooms due to unbearable noise from the DJ. The toilet hinges were grubby, as was the edge of the shower, tissue left in bin from previous occupant and window cracked. Pillows saggy and toiletries cheap. Towels were thin and robes small and frayed. Carpets dirty throughout the building. The bedside shelf fell off when a book was put on it. Breakfast was advertised as 8am but we were told 8.30am. Just 2 poor waiters, no service, buffet was not refilled - no oj or croissants. Priority seemed to be given to visitors in the main bar. Confusion over whether breakfast was included in our stay. Ordered breakfasts at bar, had to chase order half an hour later and then the wrong plates arrived. A real shame as we paid a extra to stay in a boutique hotel rather than a chain. Will not recommend I'm afraid. Have shared feedback with hotel but no repsonse.
