The place itself is beautiful

Staff do not reply to phone calls, or emails. Called 6 times and left messages and no one got back or could get hold of anyone. Still waiting for a reply from an email I sent after the stay and it’s been a week. Also messaged on there Facebook page and again… no reply!

Cutting costs seems to have gone a bit too far, no tissues, water, biscuits, very limited 1 hour for breakfast.... Noise from attached lodge next door.

This was our second stay at The Baiting House, and we loved it just as much as the first time! It’s the perfect place to completely switch off and relax. The lodges with hot tubs are beautifully equipped, super comfortable, and have everything you need for a cosy getaway. The location feels wonderfully peaceful and remote, yet it's only 20–30 minutes from plenty of great places to explore. The guest book in the lodge is full of brilliant recommendations too, which is really helpful. The on-site restaurant is absolutely fantastic—the food was incredible! I had the beef and my boyfriend had the lamb, and both dishes were exceptional. Breakfast was just as delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they really help make the stay feel special. We honestly can’t wait to come back again!

One small suggestion—adding a few board games in the lodge would be a lovely touch, especially given the peaceful, remote setting where you’re encouraged to slow down and unwind. Also, having an option to log into streaming services (Netflix, Disney) on the TV would be great for cosy nights in.
