Nice building with good interior decor. Nice double aspect room with large bathroom.

The bar area was very small and not welcoming. It was a shame we unable to eat in the restaurant as check in was 4pm and there are no alternatives nearby. The room was not cleaned after our first night and tea/coffee not replenished which was disappointing.

Beautiful old pub with lots of character, bedroom was spacious with lovely beams. Having a fridge was a great addition. The food was exceptional, the risotto was one of the best I’ve ever had and the staff were all friendly.

As the pub is on a busyish road there wasn’t a lot of opportunités to walk the dog, but a few laps of the meadow kept him happy. A minor gripe was the fan in the room wasn’t very effective so next time I would bring one with me if the weather is hot.

unreal place amazing staff really polite and helpful. The lodges are spacious and comfy with a great hotub. It was my gf bday and they kindly did her some birthday macaroons. will definitely return !!

if I was really, really fussy, I'd just say on the bar menu that maybe offer a burger or steak for meat lovers. we had truffle pasta and truffle risotto, which were both lush along with some delicious puddings. The food really is amazing here.

Wonderful staff, quiet setting and great cooked breakfast👍👏 will try the lodges for our next trip to Shropshire😜

Enjoyed our stay though the bedroom was just above some fan or generator but with windows kept close, the noise was minimum.
