The owner was so friendly, cared about oyr safety getting to the place, helped us out with luggage. A very lovely lady.The place was cute and beautiful.

The treatment from the host. On the day for our check-in she sent a WhatsApp saying that she is upgrading us to a room with the dam view and I agreed to it, minutes later she then sent a message that it doesn't have a kitchen and I couldn't read the message since I was driving. Initially, we booked a chalet which had a kitchen since we were traveling with kids and we wanted to prepare our own meals. In the morning, the following day a politely sent her a message bringing the kitchen issue to her attention and asked if she could assist. She was very defensive and told me that I brought alot of kids whom I didn't include on my booking. I told her that on my booking I included the older one who was 5 years and excluded the 2 year old since normally most places don't change him due to his age and on the booking it already stipulated that even the 5 year old was going to stay for free. She then came with the lamest excuse that in order for us to be moved to the chalet that we initially booked, we will have to pay for it to be cleaned and the room that we already slept on and each room would cost R500 since she makes use of a cleaning company. I explained that bringing the kitchen matter to her for attention was not a complaint but asking how best she could assist but the manner in which she responded was very unprofessional. A few minutes after speaking to her, our WiFi went off and we couldn't watch the TV and we asked a staff member to bring it to her attention and she never came to assist. They also switched off our geyser and for two days in a row we bathed with cold water. From how we were treated, my understanding is that the host only cares about money, once they get your money, they don't provide the service that you have paid for and make you feel like they are doing you a favour.

Stunning homely atmosphere, clean, comfortable beds. Friendly owners, made you feel very welcomed, we will definitely be back.

Such an amazing host. She made sure i was comfortable and had everything i needed. I was looking for a homely quiet getaway and Shabbat is definitely that...a home away ftom home Beautiful garden setting with a waterfront view of the dam. Pool was clean and just what i needed to set the tone for my peaceful weekend away. Would most definitely recommend to anyone and will be back!!
